The premiere screening of the documentary - The Strangeways – 30 Years of Ska - which presents 30 years of performance highlights of The Strangeways, a Sarasota, FL band that specializes in ska music, the predecessor to reggae. The band has been on national tours, has recorded two CDs of their original ska music, one of them produced by Moon Ska Records out of New York City. Interwound with lively interviews with band members, the film provides energetic live footage filmed at several current and former classic venues around Sarasota and Tampa, FL.
The screening of the film will be followed by a live performance by the band.
