As a hub for independent media, community engagement, and cultural enrichment, we thrive on the connections that ground us and fuel meaningful change. This celebration honors our community relationships and shared vision. Together, we amplify voices, foster inclusivity, and promote peace, sustainability, democracy, with social and economic justice.

Proceeds from the event benefit The Beat Goes On Founders Fund, which was established to honor the visionary contributions of WSLR’s founders. This endowment fund ensures the long-term sustainability and independence of WSLR Community Radio, WSLR News, and the Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center. By attending, you’re directly supporting the mission and future of our community.

Event Highlights

Keynote Address: Be inspired by our guest of honor, Carrie Seidman; a renowned journalist and advocate, formerly with the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, who consistently highlighted the challenges, and triumphs of our local community.
